IT’S TIME FOR A FRESH START!!

Terry Casales - March 17, 2020

I have been listening to the song, “Take Me Back” from Maverick City, ever since the song came out a few months ago at the end of 2019. It speaks about us returning to our first love, Jesus!

I believe that Jesus is drawing those of us in the body of Christ, who have been battle weary and heavy laden with the issues of life, back to Him. He is beckoning us to being with Him in the secret place - to be a Mary seated at His feet - because of the new time that He is calling us to.

This call from our Beloved to the secret place is not just for the prodigals but for all of us who are in Him. I feel like He is giving us a fresh hunger for more intimacy with Him because He wants to reveal His love for us in a new way.

It is very easy for us to feel like we have enough Jesus in our lives but nothing can be further from the Truth. I feel like Jesus is saying to us that there is no end to His love for us. He wants us to know that there is so much more of His love to discover and encounter, and we can begin right now!

This song says that we need to go back to the beginning because that is where He is, and that is where healing can take place. It is only by going back to the beginning and revisiting our past, our hurts and our trauma with Jesus, in the secret place, that He can pour the new and fresh wine of His love into those wounds along with the fresh oil of His grace!

I feel like He is reaching out His hand to us to rescue us from being bound by guilt, regret and condemnation to the place of being under the shadow of His wings — the place of secure faith with our Abba! Abba wants us to abide in that place where we can dare to dream with Him and believe we can soar again!

The enemy has been whispering the lie to many in this hour that, “It is too late for you!” “You will never see God’s promises come to pass in your life!” “Life is too hard and there is no way out!” “Give up fighting against your lot in life because the cards you have been dealt with are your portion!” The enemy does not want you to have hope because hope is the seed of faith and that scares him more than anything! The devil is a liar and the father of lies!

Jesus is our hope of glory! He is the One person worth fighting for! Jesus wants us to know that His Perfect Love is worth fighting for and that we are worth fighting for, so much so, that He went to the Cross for each one of us!

Jesus is calling us to allow Him to minister to us, and to heal us from all of the trauma of the wilderness seasons that we have endured. He is way too invested in us to leave us broken. He wants us to get reacquainted with Him as our Healer and as the lover of our soul!

Jesus is not playing hide and go seek with us. He is here with us right now! Jesus wants to give us new eyes to see all of the beauty, the wonder and the majesty that He is and newness of life that He is inviting us into!

Abba wants us to dream with Him again and to believe He will do the impossible in us and through us in this hour!

And as we step out in faith, we will inevitably fall in love with Jesus all over again! He promised us that His perfect love casts out all fear and He wants us to walk in His love so that we can have the courage to do greater things than He did!

The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name. - Psalm 23:1-3 (TPT)

19 I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert. - Isaiah 43:19 (TPT)

17 Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new creation. All that is related to the old order has vanished.[a] Behold, everything is fresh and new.[b] - 2 Corinthians 5:17 (TPT)

12 “I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father! John 14:12 (TPT)
